���ʰ´�’s collaboration with the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) and the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC) on the Engineering & Public Works Roadshow has been honored with a national award.

The Roadshow received a “Power of Associations Silver Award” from the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE) in The Power of Industry and Professional Advancement category.

The Power of Industry and Professional Advancement category recognizes associations that address industry and professional advancement with innovative educational and professional development opportunities; engage in public relations and communications campaigns to further an industry or profession’s reputation; and conducts research to enhance the collective body of knowledge for an industry or profession.

“Two years ago, ACEC, ������˾��, and ASCE discussed ways in which we could promote America’s amazing infrastructure to the public. All three of our organizations provide awards to recognize amazing feats of engineering, public works and infrastructure but we haven’t told the public our story,” said ������˾�� CEO Scott D. Grayson, CAE. “The Engineering & Public Works Roadshow does just this. It allows all three of our organizations, working together, to highlight the great work of our members, thank the current president’s administration and Congress for the passage of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law (BIL) and talk about the importance of our engineering and public works workforce.

“Thank you to the American Society of Association Executives for recognizing this important project with their Power of Association Silver Medal,” Grayson said.

The Silver underscores the value of the Roadshow to promote the essential role of public works and engineering to key state and federal audiences, not to mention the next generation of professionals.

“Working with ASCE and ACEC on the Roadshow to keep public officials’ focus on infrastructure and workforce development has been successful beyond what we had hoped,” said ������˾�� President Gary Losier, PEng. “Not only do we showcase excellent public works, engineering and design projects at every stop, we bring together professionals, policymakers, and students who are more excited than ever to collaborate and dream bigger dreams to make our neighborhoods safer and more resilient.”

“What started as an idea that was announced with just a press release has turned into an anticipated event, has made more than a dozen stops and is planning dozens more. So many more people know about public works and its impact than ever before,” Losier said.

Each Roadshow event has featured ������˾�� executives and chapter leaders; federal officials, including U.S. Sens. Tim Kaine and Tom Carper, U.S. Reps. Sam Graves, Rick Larsen and James Clyburn; governors, like Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear; and mayors, such as Phoenix Mayor Kate Gallego and Charleston, SC, Mayor William S. Cogswell.

The Roadshow brings many voices to the table to tackle the workforce shortage and showcase amazing infrastructure.

ACEC represents more than 5,000 of America’s engineering firms, ASCE represents more than 150,000 members of the civil engineering profession in 177 countries, and ������˾�� represents 32,000 public works professionals and is the only organization to represent all facets of public works.

The Roadshow’s next stop will be Aug. 29 in Golden, Col., to highlight the completion of a segment of trail in Clear Creek Canyon.
